Division Responsibilities

Environmental Services supports community stewardship of natural resources and the city’s compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Environmental Services educates the public about environmental regulatory compliance and promotes conservation in several areas: 

  • Energy conservation and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions
  • Solid waste reduction and recycling
  • Storm water quality
  • Water conservation

City of Woodland Solar Project

Woodland's Solar Project includes solar arrays at six locations, which will generate enough renewable energy to cover 80% to 90% of the energy demand of five of the six city facilities.
